The Kato Leisure Group will simultaneously open “Fufu Karuizawa Joyous Wind” and “Fufu Kyu-Karuizawa Shiyou no Mori” in the winter of 2023.

Since its establishment in Atami in 2007, small luxury resorts have opened in tourist destinations such as Kawaguchiko, Nara, Nikko, Kyoto, and Hakone. The two newly opened facilities in Karuizawa will take advantage of their respective locations while creating different personalities.

Fufu Karuizawa Yoko-no-Kaze (Aza Yamanokami, Oaza Nagakura, Karuizawa-cho, Kitasaku-gun, Nagano Prefecture) is a natural resort overlooking the majestic Mount Asama. The guest rooms are filled with greenery and bright sunlight. All 24 rooms are equipped with hot spring baths in different color tones, and the sofas and walls are decorated with vitamin colors. The hotel offers Japanese French cuisine using ingredients from Shinshu.

On the other hand, “Fufu Kyukaruizawa Shiyonomori” (Aza Ikenohata Michiwaki, Oaza Karuizawa, Karuizawa-machi, Kitasaku-gun, Nagano Prefecture) is a resort for adults located by the Kumoba Pond, where you can spend a quiet and relaxing time. All 20 guest rooms are equipped with wood-burning stoves, carpets, and hot springs. For meals, the restaurant offers Japanese cuisine using an abundance of Shinshu vegetables, Shinshu beef, Shinshu pork, and seasonal fruits. Guests can also enjoy a special teppan-yaki (teppan grill), in which the chef cooks the carefully selected daily meals right in front of them.
