On April 20, Earth Chemical launched the COMFORT ZONER insect care device on Makuake, a support purchase service. The planned general sales price is 11,800 yen, with Makuake offering an early bird discount of 15% off (10,30 yen) and other discounts.
The product is designed to repel insects, which are an essential part of outdoor activities, by volatilizing tablets containing active ingredients in 30 seconds to create an insect-free space within a 3-meter radius for approximately 2 hours. The product does not use fire, and the ingredients can be used in the presence of pets and children. The main unit is rechargeable and can be used repeatedly.
The active ingredient is metofluthrin (pyrethroid), the target pest is chironomid, and the effective range when used outdoors is 1-2 hours at a diameter of 3 m, but indoors it is effective for 6 hours in a 4.5-8 mat room. The product comes with two sets of cardridges containing 10 drug tablets (20 tablets in total), and refill cartridges can be purchased for an additional 2,200 yen (for 20 tablets).
