Palau Tourism Bureau promotes World Heritage Sea and various activities for GW and summer vacation; only “proof of 2 vaccinations” is required for entry

Posted on April 9, 2023 by News Admin

The Palau Visitors Bureau held the “Palau Seminar/Workshop Tokyo” for the travel industry on April 4. At the seminar, Mr. Tsuyoshi Shibamura, Representative of Palau Visitors Bureau Japan Office, presented the latest information on Palau and the entry process to Japan with beautiful images. In addition, 12 major suppliers of airlines, hotels, tours, telecommunications, and other services gave presentations on their products and services that will be available in 2023. Located in the Micronesia region of the Western Pacific Ocean, the Republic of Palau is approximately 3,000 km south of Japan, with no time difference and an average annual temperature of around 27°C, making it a relatively comfortable, everlasting summer resort. The Republic of Palau consists of 9 inhabited islands and 586 islands formed by coral reefs, and in 2012, the “Southern Lagoon and Rock Island Group” was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Diving, cruises, and sightseeing flights are particularly popular, and the dry season (November to April) and the period from May to June, when the islands are less susceptible to typhoons, are considered the top tourist seasons. Even during the rainy season (May-October), there are only temporary squalls, so the rainy season does not last as long as the rainy season in Japan.
