Sunshine 60 Observation Deck “Tenbo Park” renewed. Also a café where you can enjoy sky-blue “Tenku Smoothie”.

Posted on April 2, 2023 by News Admin

Sunshine City will reopen the closed “Sunshine 60 Observation Deck” as “Sunshine 60 Observation Deck Tenbo Park” on April 18.

The goal was to create a park-like facility with lawns. At “Tembo no Oka,” which offers a view of the city center, including the skyscrapers of Shinjuku, visitors can lie down and relax or sit on a swing-like bench amidst seasonal plantings and lush artificial grass that covers the entire area. For visitors with children, there is a crawling space equipped with picture books and educational toys, as well as a baby room that resembles a cloud.

In contrast, the “Event Space” on the north side, which offers views of Mt. Tsukuba and Saitama, will have a classic atmosphere and host a variety of events, including character events and art exhibits. When there are no events, unique chairs and benches will be set up for visitors to relax and enjoy the view of Mount Tsukuba and the Nikko mountain range. The space is also available for private events.

Tenbo Park can be accessed in 35 seconds by the Shining Elevator, which travels at a speed of 600 meters per minute from the first basement floor to the 60th floor. The panoramic view of Tokyo from a height of 251 meters above sea level allows visitors to see Mount Tsukuba, the Nikko mountain range, and Mount Fuji on a clear day.

Tenbo Park CAFE will offer an original food menu and drinks that vary depending on the time of day. The interior is based on a white color scheme, and at night, there are tables where you can relax and watch the flames flicker like a real bonfire. Enjoy original menu items such as gluten-free spice curry, Bain Mee, sky-blue “Tenku Smoothie” and baked sweet potato smoothies.

To commemorate the opening, visitors who enter between April 18 and 27 will receive an original novelty “pen-shaped alcohol sterilizing spray” on a first-come, first-served basis.

Admission is 700 yen for adults on weekdays, 900 yen on weekends and holidays, 500 yen for children on weekdays, 600 yen on weekends and holidays, and free for children under elementary school age.
