Shiga Prefecture has announced that its nationwide travel support “National Version: Let’s Travel Shiga Now! to be extended through June 30. The program was set to end on March 30 (including check-out on March 31) after resuming at the beginning of the year, but will continue until the budget limit is reached.
In addition to a flat 20% subsidy (up to 5,000 yen per night for travel products with transportation/up to 3,000 yen per night for other products), local coupons (2,000 yen per night on weekdays/1,000 yen per night on holidays) will continue to be given for the purchase of souvenirs and for eating and drinking.
In addition to this, Shiga Prefecture will offer an additional 1,000 yen in local coupons for overnight stays of 5,000 yen or more per person per night until June 30.
