Okinawa Prefecture will extend its national travel support through July 20.
Okinawa’s nationwide travel support “Discover Okinawa Sai NEXT” resumed on January 10 after the New Year and was originally scheduled to run through March 31, but has been extended through July 20 (including check-out on July 21). However, check-ins between April 29 and May 7 are not eligible.
20% of the price of a trip to Okinawa (maximum 5,000 yen per night for travel products with transportation/ maximum 3,000 yen for other travel products) will be subsidized, and electronic coupons (2,000 yen on weekdays/1,000 yen on holidays) will be given for use in purchasing souvenirs and other items.
Eligible applicants are travelers residing in Japan who have received three doses of the novel corona vaccine or can present a negative certificate such as a PCR test.
