Hotel Metropolitan (1-6-1 Nishi-Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo) will sell the “Ikebukuro Station Children’s Station Employee Experience Accommodation Plan” to five couples on Children’s Day to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Ikebukuro Station, and will begin accepting reservations on JR East’s EC site “JRE MALL” at 12:00 on April 3, 2012.
In addition to a tour of the station and a photo opportunity with the Ikebukuro mascot “Fukkun,” dressed in a children’s stationmaster’s uniform, participants will also have the chance to try their hand at announcing the station by recording such comments as “Please do not rush into the station as it is dangerous. The children will then spend about a week actually making announcements inside Ikebukuro Station.
