Hokkaido will extend its national travel support through July 14.
The “HOKKAIDO LOVE! Discount,” a nationwide travel support program for Hokkaido, resumed on January 10 after the New Year and was originally scheduled to run through March 31, but has been extended through July 14 (including check-out on July 15). However, check-ins between April 29 and May 7 are not eligible.
20% of the price of a trip to Hokkaido (up to 5,000 yen per night for travel products with transportation/up to 3,000 yen for other travel products) will be subsidized, and an electronic coupon worth 2,000 yen on weekdays and 1,000 yen on weekends will be given for souvenir purchases, etc.
Eligible travelers are those residing in Japan and must be able to present proof of vaccination with the novel corona vaccine or negative proof such as PCR testing.
If the applicant is unable to present proof of vaccination, negative proof is required, and a test result notification within 3 days of specimen collection for PCR and antigen quantitative tests, and within 1 day of specimen collection for antigen qualitative tests shall be valid.
