Cherry Blossom Festival at Izumo Taisha Sagami Branch Shrine. Giant Someiyoshino and the 6.2 km long “Hada no Sakura Road” will soon be in full bloom.

Posted on April 1, 2023 by News Admin

The Minami Hada Village Cherry Blossom Festival Executive Committee will hold the Minami Hada Village Cherry Blossom Festival from March 25 to April 16.

Visitors can enjoy the huge Someiyoshino cherry trees at the Izumo Taisha Sagami Branch Shrine (1221 Hirasawa, Hadano City, Kanagawa Prefecture), which will be at their best in late March, and the “Hada no Sakura Michi,” a 6.2-km path of 700 cherry trees near the shrine grounds.

During the festival, amazake (sweet sake made from Hadano’s famous water) will be served, cherry blossoms and lanterns will be lit up, and there will be limited edition red seals, street pianos, and stalls where visitors can taste local specialty products.

Also, on April 8-9, “Hadano Genki Matsuri Spring Festival 2023,” a yosakoi dedication under the cherry blossoms in full bloom, will be held.
