To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the release of “Hittari Dako Meshi,” Awajiya will release “Akashi Tourism PR Captain Papatako x Hittari Dako Meshi Collaboration Plushie Strap” on April 5, 2012, in collaboration with “Akashi Tourism PR Captain Papatako” and “Akashi Tourism PR Captain Papatako”. The price is 1,500 yen.
Hippippadako-meshi was created in 1998 to commemorate the opening of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. It is popular nationwide not only for its taste, but also for the uniqueness of its name and the “octopus pot” style pottery used in Akashi’s traditional fishing method. The strap features a design of Papa Tako playing inside a jar of Hittari-Dako-meshi.
