The Walt Disney Company is currently holding “Disney 100” celebration programs around the world. In the midst of all this, a special café celebrating the 100th anniversary, “The Wonder Movie CAFE,” will open on April 1 at Omotesando Hills in Omotesando, Tokyo. The Wonder Movie CAFE” is based on the interior of such a movie theater. Not only is it an enchanting space, but it is also decorated with special artwork used in the making of Disney movies under the theme of “Making Movies”. Furthermore, the process of making movies is divided into three phases, and guests will be welcomed with decorations, menus, and goods that match the concept of each phase over the course of three phases and nine months. The theme of the first phase, which began on April 1, is “model sheet art. Model sheets” are the basic character drawings distributed to animators during production to unify the drawing of characters. At the café, visitors can meet a variety of characters with different expressions, just as they were in the black-and-white world drawn in pencil.
