NEXCO East Japan, NEXCO Central Japan, and NEXCO West Japan have announced that they will offer a year-round discount for expressway sightseeing tours (the “Round Trip Pass”), which allows unlimited expressway rides at a fixed fare in the applicable area.
Until now, products were only sold for limited periods of time, and there were areas and periods of the year when the tour pass could not be used. From now on, the company plans to offer products on a year-round basis, with the exception of busy traffic periods.
In addition, the company has introduced a website that allows users to search for a nationwide excursion pass. The site allows users to check and compare passes by destination and place of use. From the fall, a common membership system for the three companies will be introduced, allowing customers to apply for a round-trip pass without having to enter the same membership information.
In addition, in order to equalize tourism demand, which is concentrated on weekends and holidays, a campaign is underway to award additional ETC Mileage Service Points worth 15% of the sales price if the round-trip pass is used only on weekdays.
