JR Tokai will set up a “special car for children” in Nozomi Car No. 12 on the Tokaido Shinkansen. The minimum number of passengers is one adult and one child each. The period is from April 28 to May 7.
It will be sold as a travel product by JR Tokai Tours (not available at station counters), and reservations can be made from March 22 until the day before the departure date. The number of trains available varies from day to day, and the number of trains will be increased on five consecutive holidays starting on May 3, etc. As a bonus, an electronic coupon worth 1,000 yen per adult per one-way trip is included, which can be used at designated stores in the station.
Infants under 6 years of age are free of charge if they do not occupy a seat, but they must pay a child fare if they occupy a seat by themselves.
