IHG Hotels & Resorts will open its first premium hotel brand “voco” in Japan, “voco Osaka Central” (1-7-1 Kyomachibori, Nishi-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture), on May 30.
In addition to standard, premium, and grand rooms, the hotel will feature a restaurant, fitness gym, and meeting space. The interior design of the lobby and restaurant incorporates modernity into the retro design of the Kyomachi building that once stood there, and tatami mats are used in some guest rooms to convey the essence of Japanese style.
They are also said to be environmentally friendly by providing water-saving air showers, eco-friendly beds made of recycled materials, and filtered water that does not use plastic bottles.
