The name of the commercial facility within the building will be “KITTE Osaka,” and its grand opening will be in July 2024.
JP Tower Osaka
On the first floor of “JP Tower Osaka,” a space that is part of the former Osaka Central Post Office will be preserved and relocated. A mixed-use development of trademark facilities, a theater, a hotel, and offices will be integrated into the project.
The theater will be equipped with a highly flexible stage mechanism and state-of-the-art facilities, and will offer domestic and international entertainment such as plays, musicals, music, and performances. In addition, the theater will aim to become a base for fostering and disseminating Kansai culture and creating a lively atmosphere. In addition, JR West Hotels will open an “Autograph Collection” brand hotel in partnership with Marriott International.
In addition to this, the building will feature one of the largest office spaces in western Japan. The standard floor has a rental area of approximately 4,000m2 and will also feature a rooftop garden for workers to relax, a fitness room, sauna, and other functions.
The project will be connected to the west side of JR Osaka Station through a pathway directly connected to the West Exit ticket gates, a new pedestrian deck directly connected to the existing JR Osaka Station Liaison Bridge Exit ticket gates, and Garden Avenue, an underground pedestrian pathway in the Nishi-Umeda area, providing access to JR Osaka Station, Osaka Metro and other stations in the Umeda area.
