On March 5, Hiroshima Prefecture will open a large-scale lathe exhibition facility on the west side of the parking lot of the Kure Maritime History and Science Museum “Yamato Museum” (5-20 Takaracho, Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture).

The unveiling ceremony will be held from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. on the same day, and will be attended by Kure City Mayor Yoshiaki Niihara, Kure Museum Director Kazunari Todaka, and guest of honor Yoshio Matsumoto, Chairman of Kishiro Corporation, who will cut the tape and take commemorative photos. After the ceremony, the museum will open to the public.

The visitor parking lot will be closed from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. for the ceremony. Prior to the unveiling ceremony, a “digest video of the transportation and installation of the large lathe” is available on the Yamato Museum’s official YouTube page to promote the installation of the large lathe.
