On March 19, the Yamato Museum and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries will hold a special open house at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ Kure No. 2 Plant, the plant where the main turrets of the battleships Yamato and Musashi were assembled.
The curators of the Yamato Museum and guide staff of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries will take you on a free tour of the factory facility, once called “Plant No. 14 (Turret Assembly Plant)” of the Kure Naval Arsenal, and you can also see a traveling exhibition by the Yamato Museum and the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Nagasaki Shipyard & Machinery Works Archives.
