The Kusatsu Onsen Tourist Association will hold its eighth annual “Winter Fireworks” on March 4.
The fireworks will be launched around the Kusatsu Onsen ski resort (158 Forest Group, Shirane National Forest, Kusatsu-machi, Agatsuma-gun, Gunma Prefecture) for about 15 minutes starting at 20:00. The clearer air in winter makes light refraction less likely than in summer, and beautiful fireworks can be enjoyed in the snowy landscape at various locations in the town. The Kusatsu Onsen Tourist Association plans to broadcast live on their official Instagram (kusatsu_onsen_official).
In case of inclement weather, the event will be postponed to March 11. Details will be announced on the official Twitter (@ulovekusatsu).
