Stayed in a suite at Rakuten STAY VILLA Kamogawa

Posted on February 22, 2023 by News Admin

This time, we were able to stay in the A-type suite, the most luxurious of the four types of rooms. The same unattended check-in system that is common to all Rakuten STAY rooms has been introduced, whereby guests enter the room by entering the PIN code provided in advance via e-mail into the electronic lock, and check-in procedures are carried out on a tablet installed in the room. Upon opening the door and entering the room, one is confronted with a space that is more spacious than one’s own home (although this may vary from person to person). The room has a sense of openness, and there is even a grand piano that can automatically play music. One thing to note about Rakuten STAY is that while there are amenities such as towels and toothbrushes, there are no nightgowns. However, the facility’s suites offer pajamas and slippers that are fluffier and more comfortable than those in other rooms. In order to accommodate groups, Rakuten STAY facilities have multiple washstands and maisonette-type rooms have a toilet on each floor, but this suite has two baths and three toilets, so there is little chance of fighting over them.

A meal plan that allows guests to fully enjoy local ingredients The facility also offers a meal plan. The meal plan includes a set of ingredients ordered in advance and stored in the in-room refrigerator, which guests can use to prepare and enjoy their own meals using the cooking utensils provided. At present, the dinner menu includes “shabu-shabu with sea bream and pork,” “seafood BBQ,” “funamori,” “Kazusa beef sukiyaki,” and “Kazusa beef BBQ.” Of these, only the funamori, which requires freshness, will be delivered to each guest room between 6:00 and 6:30 pm by a partner fish restaurant. For breakfast, guests can choose from Western-style dishes that include locally produced bread and Chiba pork bologna sausage, or Japanese-style dishes that include seasonal dried fish and rice balls made of brown rice and glutinous rice. All of these dishes are made with the finest local ingredients and are sure to be enjoyed with family and friends. If you order dinner, be sure to set the rice in the rice cooker as early as possible. There is a supermarket and convenience store about a 10-minute walk away, and you can buy your favorite ingredients and cook them as needed. If it is too much trouble to cook by yourself, you can go out to eat at restaurants scattered around the area.
