5 to 10 cm of snowfall is expected on the plains of the southern Kanto region from the morning of January 10. Possible road closures on Metropolitan Expressway and NEXCO jurisdiction.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the Japan Meteorological Agency, Metropolitan Expressway Company, NEXCO East Japan, NEXCO Central Japan and others are warning of the possibility of heavy snowfall in the Kanto Koshin region from February 10 to 11. In case of heavy snowfall, they also urge drivers to refrain from going out unnecessarily and to install winter tires or carry chains.

The forecast calls for snow over a wide area of the Kanto Koshin region in the morning, with heavy snow in some areas from midday through the 11th.
