Ryohin Keikaku, which operates MUJI, will release 12 items, including a synthetic leather “tote bag made from plant-derived materials” that uses corn oil as part of its raw materials.
The company is developing products that take into account the use of natural materials and the reduction of environmental impact, and is developing a series of clothing accessories that use plant-derived raw materials. No polyurethane resin is applied, contributing to the reduction of petroleum consumption.
The lineup includes 12 items ranging from bags such as backpacks, tote bags, and sakosh, to clothing accessories such as business card holders and wallets, and belts. The lineup features simple designs and colors for all ages and genders.
