The Umakaken Fukuoka Office, operated by JTB, began general sales (first-come, first-served at stores) of “Umakaken Fukuoka,” premium meal coupons that can be used at restaurants in Fukuoka Prefecture, at 10:00 a.m. on February 6, 2012.
Umakaken Fukuoka is an initiative by Fukuoka Prefecture to support the recovery of restaurant sales in the difficult business environment caused by the Corona disaster. 8,000 yen buys a 10,000-yen meal coupon (plus 25% of the purchase price), which can be used at more than 4,000 restaurants in Fukuoka Prefecture.
Sales will be available at Seven-Eleven, FamilyMart, and Lawson stores nationwide, with a maximum of two sets available per person. Sales will continue until April 15, but will end when each convenience store reaches its planned sales volume.
