Shimane Prefecture offers up to 75% off local transportation in its own travel campaign. Discount offer coupons for about 170 stores are also being distributed via smartphone.

In conjunction with its ongoing nationwide travel support program, Shimane Prefecture is offering two unique campaigns that provide savings on local transportation and dining.

Unlimited local transportation ticket, which allows unlimited rides on private railways and buses in the eastern area of Shimane Prefecture for three days, is available for ¥1,000 for adults and ¥500 for children and persons with disabilities (normally ¥4,000 for adults and ¥2,000 for children and persons with disabilities). Details are on the campaign page. Target: Tourists visiting from outside the prefecture (not for residents of the prefecture) Sales period: Until March 5, 2023 Availability: 3 days until March 12, 2023 Sales locations: JTB, Kinki Nippon Tourist, Big Holiday

Shimane Original “Winter Hospitality Coupon Campaign

Coupons for discounts and special offers at approximately 170 stores in the prefecture, including tourist facilities, restaurants, and souvenir stores, are distributed via smartphone. In addition, a “W Campaign” will be held at the same time: post your travel photo on Instagram with “#Shimane OmoCampaign” and “#Beautiful Skin Prefectural Shimane” to win accommodation coupons to enjoy hot springs and ingredients for beautiful skin, as well as special products worth 3,000 yen. Period: Until February 28, 2023

Shimane Prefecture’s nationwide travel support “Karma and beautiful skin from Shimane. Shimane Prefecture’s nationwide travel support campaign, “Friendship and Beauty from Shimane,” is currently underway until March 31 (including check-out on April 1). A flat 20% of the travel price (up to 5,000 yen per night for travel products that include transportation, and up to 3,000 yen per night for other travel products) will be subsidized, and an electronic coupon “Shimanekkopay” (2,000 yen per night on weekdays, 1,000 yen per night on holidays) will be given for use in purchasing souvenirs and other items.

To use this service, three vaccinations (two for prefectural residents) and negative proof such as a PCR test are required. Please check the official website for details.
