JR West Announces Revisions to All Specialty Train Tickets at Once. Ticketless Service Enhanced, but “Hokuriku Odekake Pass” and Other Services to Be Discontinued.

The new “WEB Early Bird 7” ticket, which offers a discount price for reservations made at least seven days in advance via e5489, will be available for “Kuroshio” and “Konotori” trains from April 8, 2012. In addition, “WEB Early Bird 7” and “WEB Early Bird 14” will newly offer express tickets for “Thunderbird” from April 1, and “WEB Early Bird 1” will no longer be available for this train until March 31. In addition, as part of the “Suteru Ikoka Campaign” to commemorate the opening of Osaka Station (Umekita area), “J-WEST Ticketless 390” tickets will be available for 390 yen on weekdays from March 20 to April 28, and A-seat ticketless reserved seat tickets will also be discounted to 390 yen during the same period.

Tokutekku Ticket: Tokyu ticket sales will end on March 31. In addition, coupon-type tickets such as “Reserved seat limited express coupon ticket (Hokuriku Line)”, “Nagoya reserved seat limited express coupon ticket” (to be discontinued on March 17), and “Shinkansen unreserved seat limited express coupon ticket (Mikuteitai)” (to be discontinued on March 31) will also be discontinued. The “Hokuriku Unlimited Ride Ticket,” “Hokuriku Odekake Pass,” “Kanazawa/Kaga/Noto Round Trip Pass,” “Okayama/Kurashiki Round Trip Pass,” “Miyajima/Setouchi Round Trip Pass,” “Matsuyama/Hiroshima Discount Ticket,” “Kochi Sightseeing Ticket and Matsuyama Sightseeing Ticket” will be phased out at the end of March. The “Nara Free Ticket” and “Hokuriku Round Trip Ticket,” which were on sale to Shinkansen reservation holders, will also cease to be available until March 31.
