An outdoor swimming pool on the top (34th) floor of the APA Hotel & Resort Osaka Umeda Station Tower (2-8-32 Sonezaki, Kita-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture), which is scheduled to open on February 1, will open as “Bikkuriman Pool” in collaboration with Lotte.
APA Hotel’s pool facilities have collaborated with various companies at eight facilities so far, and this time, the ninth in the series, the hotel will collaborate with “Bikkuriman,” a long-selling brand of candy with an added bonus, which is celebrating its 45th year on the market. The hotel will operate the pool on the top floor while promoting the sponsor companies and products.
The outdoor pool is located on the hotel’s 34th floor and is open from 9:00 to 20:00. Swimming as a pool is limited to hotel guests and day-trip plan users during the summer season from early July to mid-September. Fees start at 2,000 yen per hour. As a pool terrace, it can be used free of charge all year round.
In this collaboration, the logo and characters of “Bikkuriman” will be painted on the bottom of the 6.5 x 3.0 x 1 meter size pool. In the future, it will be used to advertise the product to users of the top-floor pool, including swimmers and terrace users, and as a photogenic photo spot.
The hotel is conveniently located a three-minute walk from Higashi Umeda Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line, and is also within walking distance of Osaka Station, one of the largest terminal stations in Osaka served by the JR Tokaido Main Line and other lines, and Umeda Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line. The hotel is a 34-story high-rise tower hotel with 1704 rooms, the largest in western Japan, and offers a full range of in-house facilities, including a large public bath and outdoor hot spring, two restaurants, a cafe, a fitness gym, convenience stores, an esthetic salon, and a general merchandise store. The hotel aims to become a new landmark in the Umeda area of Osaka as an “urban resort” where one can enjoy a resort-like atmosphere and stay in the city.
