Disney to release sequential Pooh collection with cherry blossom motifs from January 20

Posted on January 18, 2023 by News Admin

Walt Disney Japan will release a series of cherry blossom-themed Pooh and Piglet and friends items at Disney Flagship Tokyo, Disney Store stores, and the official Disney online store shopDisney from January 20.

Under the theme of “Tea Party under the Cherry Blossoms,” this year’s lineup features mature items that combine marble patterns inspired by cherry blossom petals dancing in the wind with calm, dull-colored artwork. The lineup centered on plush toys and interior goods.

The plush toys are designed in an unprecedented dull pink with slightly reddish cheeks and pale pink ribbons. Pooh, Piglet, and Chip and Dale will be available. Plush keychains will also be available for Eeyore and Roo. Also available are interior goods such as tissue box covers featuring the image of Pooh lying down and looking up at the sky, cushions with designs of Pooh and Piglet enjoying the cherry blossoms, and tableware.

From the “TSUM TSUM” series, a pink plush toy with an image of sakura mochi (rice cake with sakura blossoms) is now available. The design features details such as sakura mochi on the back and red bean paste-colored eyes and nose. The lineup includes Mickey & Friends, Pooh & Piglet, and a total of six types, priced at 1,320 yen.

From the “Urupo-chan” plush toy series with luminous eyes and fluffy body comes a cherry blossom-colored plush of Pooh and his friends. They are posed holding out cherry blossoms with both hands, and if you look closely, you can see cherry blossom petals on their heads and hips. The beads on the bottom give the plushie a great sense of stability. The price is 1100 yen.
