JR Tokai (Central Japan Railway Company) will operate the “Arigatou Kiha 85-series Hida” limited express train on March 4, 5, 11, and 12 with a revival train formation before the end of Kiha 85-series service on March 18.

The down train departs Nagoya Station at 8:57 a.m. and arrives at Takayama Station at 11:46 a.m. In-train events will include a project in which crew members from the Minota and Takayama Transportation Districts will reflect on their hospitality and memories, and broadcasts of in-train chimes will be made. Green Car passengers will also receive a not-for-sale pin badge commemorating the debut of the HC85 Series. Tickets will be sold at major JR stations nationwide.

Meanwhile, the up train is sold as a group-only train as a tour product of JR Tokai Tours. The train departs Takayama Station at 13:44, enters the Inazawa Line at Gifu Station, and passes Nagoya Station. The train runs until Atsuta Station before arriving at Nagoya Station at 18:01. In addition to the “Basic Plan,” which offers popular ekiben (boxed meals) from Takayama and original novelties designed especially for this tour, the “Green Car Plan with Photo Session” and the “Deluxe Plan with Photo Session,” which offers front-row seats in the most popular section of the train, are also available.
