Today, January 10, national travel support resumed all over the country.
Under this nationwide travel support program, a flat 20% of the travel price (up to 5,000 yen per night for travel products that include transportation, and up to 3,000 yen per night for other travel products) will be subsidized, and in principle, local coupons (2,000 yen per night for weekdays and 1,000 yen per night for holidays) will be given as electronic coupons that can be used to purchase souvenirs and other items.
Each prefecture has an official website that lists participating businesses (hotels, travel agencies, etc.), how to obtain electronic coupons, and coupon participating stores. The website also provides detailed information on the conditions of application, such as the number of vaccinations and identification, so please check the website of your destination area in advance of departure.
The period (and especially the end date) of the nationwide travel support differs from prefecture to prefecture, and once the allotted budget is reached, the acceptance and sales at the businesses will be closed. The following is a list.
