The assembly of each product is done after it is delivered, so that families can enjoy the craft experience together and use the finished product as a glove compartment. The materials used for the products are the hide of Japanese deer, which were exterminated as harmful birds and animals.
Two-deer leather is light and soft to the touch, and has excellent air permeability and moisture absorbency. In addition to being resistant to loss of shape and long-lasting, the leather is “non-chrome tanned,” meaning that the heavy metal chrome is not used in the processing process, and the more it is used, the deeper the color will become. It is also hard to lose its shape and durable enough to last for a long time, making it suitable for Japan, where it rains frequently.
The “Deerskin Craft Coin Purse” (2,780 yen) allows users to easily remove the contents by sliding coins into the open lid. It can also be used to store and carry earphones and accessories, and the key ring on the side is useful for storing keys.
On the other hand, the “Deerskin Craft Card Case” (2,380 yen) is compact but can hold 60 business cards. It can be used as a mini wallet for cards and bills, a first-aid kit for band-aids and other items that tend to get scattered around in a bag, or a small accessory case for storing toiletries when traveling.
