The first sunrise of the year that you can definitely see. Recommendation for “New Year’s Day Sunrise Flight” to see the sunrise and Mt.

Posted on January 3, 2023 by News Admin

What I would like to recommend is the “New Year’s Day Sunrise Flight” offered by airlines. Many Travel Watch readers may have participated in this program before, but the actual number of applicants is limited and the tickets are platinum tickets that are sold out immediately after they go on sale.

In reality, however, there are many factors that depend on luck, such as thick clouds in some areas and rain or snow in the first place. Depending on where you live, you may not be able to see the sun until it rises to a certain degree due to the topography of the area. The reality is that it is hard to wait for the sunrise in the cold.

While Hatsumode (New Year’s visit to a shrine) and Hatsumeshi (New Year’s sales) are familiar New Year’s events, there must be many people who want to see the first sunrise by the sea or at a high altitude. In Honshu, the sun rises at 6:40 a.m. in the early part of the year, and at 7:20 a.m. even in Kyushu, where the sun rises later.

The biggest point is that because it’s above the clouds, “you can definitely see the first sunrise.”

The first sunrise flight is literally “a flight to view the first sunrise from the sky”. The standard flight is to wait for the sunrise in the sky, then visit the Mt. Arrival at the airport is usually around 8:00 am.

For those who have difficulty getting to the airport early in the morning, some airlines offer a plan to stay overnight at an airport hotel, while others, such as Solaseed Air, offer a tour format that includes getting off at Miyazaki Airport, taking a bus, and visiting a shrine.

Tickets are usually put on sale by each company in early to mid-November. In the past, tickets were often sold on a first-come, first-served basis, but in recent years, the number of tickets sold by lottery has been increasing, so there are fewer cases of people fighting over tickets on the sales pages on the day they go on sale.
