Japan Weather Association and ALiNK Internet have started providing “snow coverage maps” on the website of “tenki.jp,” a media specializing in weather forecasting.
The tenki.jp website provides detailed weather forecasts for each city, town, and village, as well as warnings and advisories, road weather impact forecasts, and various other information on weather and disaster prevention.
The new “Snowfall Map” displays the amount of snowfall from the past 7 days to the next 6 hours and the depth of snow cover from the past 24 hours to the next 6 hours on a color-coded map for each nation and region. By operating the slider on the map, users can also check the transition of snowfall and snow accumulation in chronological order.
