Kaanapali Beach Hotel, the most Hawaiian hotel in Hawaii, offers an unforgettable Hawaiian cultural experience.

Posted on December 28, 2022 by News Admin

With restrictions on international traffic almost on par with pre-Corona levels, it has become more fun to make travel plans. In the midst of all this, the Hawaii Tourism Authority has released a series of virtual tour videos that provide the latest information on hotels and tourist facilities. The 10-minute video includes “I want to go to Hawaii!” and is packed with updated information perfect for those who are thinking, “I want to go to Hawaii!

Kaanapali Beach Hotel, located on the west coast of Maui, is officially recognized as the “Most Hawaiian Hotel in Hawaii” with a wide range of cultural programs including hula, ukulele, and Hawaiian language lessons.

The Kaanapali Beach Hotel is located in front of the beautiful Kaanapali Beach, which was once ranked #2 in the Top 25 Beaches in the United States. The hotel opened in 1964, and in the summer of 2021, 264 rooms, or approximately 60% of the guest rooms, will be renovated. The hotel is a family-friendly hotel that does not require resort fees, which many hotels introduce, and children 17 and under who stay in their parents’ room are free of charge unless an extra bed is added, and one meal per adult is also free for children under 5 years old.

Across the street from the front desk is the Alihilani Guest Services Desk with Japanese staff on duty, so those who are worried about language barriers can rest easy. There is also a full-time resident cultural advisor at the Hawaiian Cultural Center.

The 432 guest rooms, including premium garden view rooms and oceanfront family suites, will be divided into two types: premium rooms, which will be renovated in 2021, and traditional rooms, which were not renovated. The newly renovated rooms are designed with Hawaiian culture in mind, and the “Makamae” framed handcrafts are handmade by the hotel’s cultural specialists. The bathrooms have also been redesigned and are now equipped with smart TVs and other functional amenities.

Opened in 2021, Huihui is a signature restaurant with a menu that combines traditional Hawaiian cuisine with modern flavors and fresh local ingredients. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch, but this is definitely the place to go for dinner. There are a total of four dining locations in the building, including Heleon, a coffee shop where you can take out light meals, Keao, a breakfast buffet, and Verovelo, a poolside grill.

What did you think of Kaanapali Beach Hotel, where even if you don’t have an ocean view room, you can enjoy a room facing a lush courtyard? At the “Farewell Kukui Nut Lei Ceremony,” which is held every day to send off guests, if a returning hotel guest brings a Kukui Nut Lei, the black nuts are exchanged for white nuts for each stay. The lei indicates how long the person has been staying at the hotel. Many guests find themselves thinking, “I want to come back for more white nuts!” I’m sure there will be many guests who will think, “I want to come back again to get more white nuts!
