NEXCO West Japan has begun closing traffic due to the heavy snowfall that began on December 22.
The Ozu Road Ozu Minami IC – Ozu Kitadada IC up and down and the Matsuyama Expressway Ozu Kitadada IC – Nishiyo Uwa IC up and down were scheduled to be closed from 8:00 a.m., but due to sudden weather deterioration, both were closed at 7:20 a.m.
If you have no choice but to use the expressway, you must install winter tires and carry tire chains. In particular, when traveling on snow-covered roads, drivers are urged to wear tire chains.
