Izumisano City and Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport will install a “Furusato Tax Payment Vending Machine” in the hotel lobby at the airport and begin accepting donations at 11:00 on December 23. This is the first installation of a Furusato tax vending machine at an airport in Japan and the first in Osaka Prefecture.
The hotel is offering hotel and restaurant coupons as a gift in return. There are eight different types of coupons, ranging from 3,000 yen worth of coupons for a donation of 10,000 yen to 90,000 yen worth of coupons for a donation of 300,000 yen (coupons are in increments of 1,000 yen). The coupons are valid for one year after issuance.
The vending machine is located next to the front desk on the first floor of Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport and is in operation from 9:00 to 21:00. Tickets are issued when the customer selects a return gift from the touch panel, registers his/her address (automatic reading from a driver’s license is possible), and selects a donation method (payment by credit card only). The receipt can then be redeemed at the front desk for the returned item. The necessary documents for deductions will be mailed at a later date.
