With the opening of the Sotetsu-Tokyu direct line (Sotetsu Shin-Yokohama Line/Tokyu Shin-Yokohama Line), the seven company bureaus involved have announced the direct operation modes and main travel times for the newly formed wide-area railroad network.

The Sotetsu-Tokyu direct line will open on March 18, 2023, with the “Sotetsu Shin-Yokohama Line” from Hazawa Yokohama Kokudai to Shin-Yokohama (4.2 km) and the “Tokyu Shin-Yokohama Line” from Shin-Yokohama to Hiyoshi (5.8 km); together with the Nishitani – Hazawa Yokohama Kokudai (2.1 km), which opened earlier in November 2019, the Nishitani – Hiyoshi (12.1 km) The direct line will be completed.

In terms of access from Kanagawa to central Tokyo, the Sotetsu main line departing from Ebina passes through the Sotetsu-Tokyu direct line, then connects to the Tokyu Meguro line, and after Meguro and Shirokane-Takanawa, the line splits into two routes: the Toei Mita line heading to Nishitakashimadaira and the Tokyo Metro Namboku line and Saitama Stadium line heading to Urawa Misono.

Trains from the Izumino Line departing from Shonandai will pass through the Sotetsu/Tokyu direct line, then transfer to the Tokyu Toyoko Line, and beyond Shibuya, take the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line and Tobu Tojo Line to Ogawamachi.

Although the Seibu Yurakucho Line, Ikebukuro Line, and Sayama Line will not be directly connected, it will be possible to change trains on the same platform within the Tokyu Line.
