Sagami Railway, Tokyu Corporation, and the Japan Railway and Transportation Agency announced that the Sotetsu-Tokyu direct line (Sotetsu Shin-Yokohama Line/Tokyu Shin-Yokohama Line) will open on March 18, 2023.
The Sotetsu-Tokyu Direct Line connects Nishitani to Shin-Yokohama (6.3 km) as the “Sotetsu Shin-Yokohama Line” and Shin-Yokohama to Hiyoshi (5.8 km) as the “Tokyu Shin-Yokohama Line”; the Nishitani to Hazawa Yokohama National University (2.1 km) was opened earlier in November 2019, and the remaining portion will open in March.
