Diamond Head Diamond Head was formed by an eruption over 300,000 years ago and has been loved by locals as one of the symbols of Oahu. Just looking at Diamond Head is enough to fill one’s heart, but climbing up the mountain is just as good. Sunrise – The sun rises from the direction of the mountains when viewed from Waikiki, so if you go to the beach, you can see the sunrise from Diamond Head. Just a month ago, I was walking on the beach just after sunrise and saw a rainbow of sunlight on Diamond Head. It was just before 9:00 a.m. in October. At Fort De Russy Beach, clouds were scattered across the blue sky as if they had erupted from one place beyond the ocean. After rain comes the gift of rainbows. On this day, when the season changes to the rainy season, a rainbow connecting the sea and the land was visible after an early-morning shower. February is still the rainy season. When the sun appeared on Kaimana Beach in the morning, the rain stopped and a double rainbow appeared.
Magic Hour – Sunset – I used to dislike sunsets because they seemed lonely, but as I watched the sky turn orange and purple every day in Hawaii, it became my favorite time of day. Especially during the winter, when the sun sets over the ocean on the west side of the island, don’t miss it! Kaimana Beach in January, just before sunset time at 6:00 pm.
