Yahoo Japan has started providing “lifestyle advice information” on the weather page of the Yahoo! JAPAN app to support users’ daily activities, such as “Do I need a coat?”, “Can I dry my laundry outside?”, and “Should I bring an umbrella?
JAPAN” app, open the weather page from the weather icon at the top of the home screen, and tap the “More Life Advice” button in the center of the page.
The system displays up to 10 items of information on the day’s index in five levels, including clothing, availability of laundry, need for umbrellas, intensity of ultraviolet rays, degree of dryness, and susceptibility to catching colds in a set area. The system also suggests actions to be taken in accordance with the weather conditions using text and illustrations.
