Posted on December 11, 2022 by News Admin

Hilton, Public Investment Advisors, and Sankei Building will open the DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Higashiyama (1-45 Honmachi, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture) in summer 2023.

The hotel will be rebranded from the hotel that opened in March 2021 and newly opened as DoubleTree by Hilton, the first hotel in Kyoto. Located within walking distance of Kiyomizu Temple, the hotel is a one-minute walk from Kiyomizu Gojo Station and a 10-minute drive from Kyoto Station.

The hotel features a Japanese modern design and has a total of 158 guest rooms, mainly standard rooms of approximately 28 m2, an all-day dining room, a lounge and bar, a large public bath, and a fitness center.

Hirohisa Fujimoto, Vice President of Development for Hilton Japan and Micronesia, said, “DoubleTree by Hilton is a popular brand among leisure and business travelers around the world, and in Japan we plan to open the DoubleTree by Hilton Toyama in January next year and the DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle in the spring of 2024. In Japan, the DoubleTree by Hilton Toyama is scheduled to open in January next year, followed by the DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle in the spring of 2024. We look forward to providing our guests from Japan and abroad with the heartwarming service that only DoubleTree can offer, while leveraging our nearly 60 years of operating experience as a global hotel operator in Japan.
