Doraemon x Nanga collaboration sleeping bag. Blue, white and red mummy shape.

Posted on December 11, 2022 by News Admin

Shogakukan launched Doraemon-designed sleeping bags (sleeping bags) and neckwear at its mail-order website, Shogakukan Department Store.

The “‘Doraemon’ Nanga Sleeping Bag UDD BAG 630 DX” (69,300 yen) is a collaboration between Shogakukan Department Store and Japanese down manufacturer Nanga. In addition to the blue, white, and red Doraemon-inspired coloring, the collar bell and four-dimensional pocket are reproduced in the white portion of the outer fabric.

The lining is printed with an all-over comical illustration of Doraemon, and there is also a woven name of Nanga and Doraemon.

The three-dimensional hood is designed to wrap around the head without stress, and the face area is designed to resemble Doraemon’s red collar. The shoulder and zipper areas are equipped with tubes containing heat-retaining material to keep air inside and prevent cold air from entering.

The zipper uses special YKK parts to reduce the incidence of fabric biting. It is equipped with a light-storing function to make it easy to operate in the dark. The toes are roomy so that the feet do not feel cramped. More feathers are enclosed to prevent coldness.

The blue outer fabric is made of Aurora Tech, a nylon fabric developed by Nanga that is lightweight, water repellent, and highly waterproof and moisture permeable. The down is made from Spanish white duck down, which has a high temperature control function. The down itself is treated with a super water-repellent finish.

It comes with a storage bag and can be compactly stored at approximately 20 x 40 cm (diameter x height), allowing it to be carried in a backpack.

The “Doraemon” BUFF Neckwear (2,970 yen) is a collaboration with BUFF, a manufacturer born in western Barcelona, Spain. The stretch material, which blocks 98% of UV rays, is formed into a tube shape with no seams, and can be used in a variety of ways, such as covered, folded, or stretched.

Two patterns are available: one with Doraemon surprised by his natural enemy, a mouse, and the other with a full-color Doraemon that stands out with its points and all-over pattern.
