Ascott Japan has decided to name the stay hotel it is developing on Nihon Odori in Yokohama “Citadines Harborfront Yokohama” (5-2 Nihon Odori, Naka-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture), and will begin accepting reservations on December 20 for stays after July 1, 2023, opening on June 14, 2023.

Citadines” means “city dweller” in French, and the company operates more than 180 serviced apartments worldwide for both leisure and business. Citadines Harborfront Yokohama is a 17-story building with a total floor area of 13,800m2 and 242 rooms. The property will have a new entrance to Nihon-Odori Station on the Minatomirai Subway Line, and will be within walking distance of Yokohama Stadium, Yamashita Park, Yokohama Chinatown, and the Kanagawa Prefectural Government Office.

A total of 11 room types are available, with spacious layouts ranging from 24 to 93m2. Some rooms offer views of Yokohama Bay Bridge, Osanbashi Bridge, and on clear days, Mt. About half of the rooms are equipped with a kitchen and washer/dryer so that guests can spend time as if they were at home, even if they are staying for a month or longer.

There will be a shared kitchen in the lounge leading to the outdoor terrace. In addition, there will be a fitness gym, two meeting rooms, pet beds, and other items that open onto the terrace.

The design is conscious of the port town’s unique proximity to the sea, with ship motifs on the walls of guestrooms and artwork throughout the building. The walls of the common areas adopt a brick masonry atmosphere.
