Naoki Wakabayashi’s Travel Photo Gallery] Illumination at Oi Racecourse (Tokyo)

Posted on December 5, 2022 by News Admin

As the end of the year approaches, illuminations are beginning to be held in various places as before. The “Tokyo Mega Illumination” held at Oi Racecourse is a large-scale illumination of a large area.

It is closed on days when horse races are held, but otherwise open from October 15 to January 9 from 4:30pm to 9pm. It is close to Oi Racecourse Station on the monorail, making it perfect for an after-five date night! On holidays and national holidays, families with children can also enjoy the event, as there is a horseback riding experience (pony) for elementary school students and younger by reservation only.

It takes almost an hour to walk around the park in a leisurely manner, taking pictures, and when you are getting tired, there is a restaurant and other places to rest. There are snack booths near the exits, so you can fill your stomach. If you check the dates of the event on the website in advance and have a preliminary knowledge of the venue, you are unlikely to miss anything. If you buy tickets in advance, you can get a discount and don’t have to worry about not being able to enter due to the limited number of people, so it is recommended that you buy tickets.

You can also sit in the audience and watch the fountains and lights and lasers. Please dress warmly. Couples and families will have a great time at this event.
