JR Tokai will set up “Car Cars Exclusively for Passengers with Children” in the reserved seats of some “Nozomi” trains on the Tokaido Shinkansen. The period is from December 23 to January 9, 2023.
For this year-end and New Year’s holidays, the number of trains set up during the period when a large number of passengers are expected to use the service has been expanded to four one-way trips per day. The special carriages for children allow passengers to board without worrying about being bothered by others.
The special train for children will be sold as a travel product by JR Tokai Tours. A minimum of one adult and one child of elementary school age or younger can apply for the service, and the prices for the main segments are as follows. Also included is an electronic coupon worth 1,000 yen that can be used to purchase boxed lunches, drinks, souvenirs, etc.
