NearMe and the Akita Airport Usage Promotion Council will conduct a demonstration experiment to introduce the “nearMe.Airport” system, a unique AI-based carpooling smart shuttle, to some routes of the “Akita Airport Liner”. The period is from November 22 to February 12, 2023.
As a result, some services on some Akita Airport Liner routes, such as information after making reservations, can now be provided over the phone. All services, from boarding reservations to payment, can now be completed only on the web.
The service area includes Area A from Akita Airport to downtown Akita (Akita Station, Akita University, city hotels, Akita City Hall, etc.), Area B from Akita Airport to Akita Health and Welfare Medical Center, North Asia University, Hotel Route Inn Akita, and Tsuchizaki District, and Area C from Akita Airport to Eucharist Service, Akita Prefectural University, Iijima District, Kanazoku District, Shimo-shinjo District, and C Area: Iijima, Kanasoku, Shimo-Shinshiro, Kami-Shinshiro, and Taiheiyo Districts. Fees are 2,500 yen for Area A, 3,000 yen for Area B, and 3,500 yen for Area C.
