Aritayaki porcelain and Tokaido Shinkansen to sell a limited number of mugs/small plates/bowls with motifs of successive generations of Nozomi and N700S

Posted on November 16, 2022 by News Admin

JR Tokai Passengers will release “Aritayaki x Tokaido Shinkansen” collaborative tableware to commemorate Nozomi’s 30th anniversary.

Arita-yaki porcelain from Saga Prefecture, known as the birthplace of Japanese porcelain, is painted with the pictogram of the Tokaido Shinkansen, Japan’s first bullet train, and the body of the cutting-edge N700S. The lineup includes a mug (4,280 yen), a set of three small plates (6,180 yen), and a free bowl (6,480 yen), each carefully fired by Zuifengama, which was established in 1917, and designed to show the Nozomi’s blue color on the traditionally beautiful white porcelain.

Each product will be made to order in quantities of up to 300 units, and orders will be accepted at the JRCP online store from November 21, 10:00 to November 28, 23:00. Delivery is scheduled for January 2023.
