JR East Cross Station Retail Company will release on November 15 a limited edition product commemorating the 40th anniversary of the opening of the Joetsu Shinkansen. The products will be available at NewDays and NewDays KIOSK at participating stations.
The design theme is “JOETSU Shinkansen Rally. The design is based on the image of a relay of cars that have operated the Joetsu Shinkansen from its opening to the present day, competing for speed and relaying the results across a star-filled night sky.
The lineup includes 10 items such as acrylic multi-stands, mug cups, smartphone rings, and lunch totes with charms. In addition, some stores will also sell “Tougeno-Kamameshi,” an original commemorative hanging paper designed by employees of JR Takasaki Station, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Joetsu Shinkansen.
