Tokyo Waterfront Line will offer a Hatsumode (New Year’s Pilgrimage) cruise on January 2 and 3, 2023, combining a water bus excursion with a project as an event service that allows passengers to visit Ushijima Shrine and pray for good fortune and protection from bad luck.
The tour will depart from Ryogoku River Center at 10:45 a.m., make a U-turn near Tsukuda Ohashi Bridge, and arrive at Sumida Ward Office at 11:45 a.m. At around 12:00 p.m., participants will visit the Ushijima Shrine to pray for protection from bad luck. The number of participants is limited to 90 for each day, and the fee is 4,500 yen for adults and 2,300 yen for elementary school students. Applications can be made through the official website of the Tokyo Waterfront Line.
