KNT-CT Holdings has released its “Destination Ranking” of domestic travel trends for fall/winter 2022.
After the start of nationwide travel support on October 11, the sales growth rate of domestic travel products of group company Kinki Nippon Tourist increased to 184% from a week before the start (October 10) to a week after (October 16). In particular, the number of applications made just before departure and reservations through late December increased significantly, to 346% y/y. The number of reservations has recovered to approximately 80% of the pre-Corona level.
As the season coincides with the fall foliage season, areas that include famous autumn foliage spots and courses that incorporate autumn foliage viewing were particularly popular.
