Eizan Electric Railway will renew car 712 of its Deo 710 class and begin service on December 10 from Shugakuin Station at 5:29 a.m. to Demachiyanagi Station.

The seats are patterned after cedar trees, and the seat dividers are designed with cherry blossoms and azaleas. The partitions are decorated with a “kyoyuzen glass” technique, in which kimono fabric is encased in glass.

Prior to the start of the service, a photo session and chartered service will be held on December 3 and December 6. The price is 6,000 yen, and the tickets will be sold on the “e-kenet market” website.
