Tokyo Metro will introduce a “rank system” in the Metro Point Club (METOPO), which allows members to earn points by riding the train, by awarding points according to their membership rank, which is determined by their monthly usage. The system will begin in March 2023.
Rank scores” are accumulated according to conditions such as the amount of money spent on the Tokyo Metro by PASMO registered with METOPO and possession of a valid commuter pass that includes Tokyo Metro sections, etc. The total rank score at the end of the month is used to classify the following month’s ranks in four levels. The higher the rank, the higher the point award rate, with a maximum of 10% of the amount spent being rewarded. Points accumulated can be recharged to PASMO in units of 10 points = 10 yen.
Rank scores can be efficiently accumulated by riding during daytime, weekends and holidays, and by holding a commuter pass.
